- Participate in Fall Outreach including regional events, conferences, campaigns and summits
- Attend and participate in the annual Spring Training and Orientation Retreat
- Achieve annual Individual Goals set at Spring Training and Orientation Retreat
- Participate in and fundraise for the Youth Leadership Immersion Experience in Tanzania (in applicable years)
- Receive and respond to council emails a minimum of twice a week
What are the duties of a Youth Leadership Initiative member? - Help guide the direction of Roots & Shoots on a regional and national level
- Support Roots & Shoots through active outreach
- Support youth campaigns and events
- Assist with fundraising for gatherings and events
- Play an active role on the R&S website
- Work toward annual individual and council leadership goals
- Present R&S to the general public, schools and partners
- Fulfill a general time commitment of 5-15 hours per month, not including major events
- Participate in council initiatives and projects
- Attend and participate in at least 10 out of 12 monthly meetings/conference calls
