The versatile Roots & Shoots model adapts to the specific needs and circumstances of any learning environment—public or private schools, homeschools, zoos, nature centers or daycare programs. You can incorporate Roots & Shoots into practically any educational setting:

• As part of your academic classroom curriculum
• As an elective subject
• In an extra-curricular activity or club after school, or during lunch
• With any subject, from science and math to English and the humanities. The service-learning model is by nature multidisciplinary, so kids have the opportunity to learn and use many different skills.
