DescriptionOur Roots & Shoots group (nicknamed CARES) has participated in cleanups, fundraisers, and multiple other projects. We focus mainly on environmental issues, but are also interested in other community service projects for people and animals. In 2009, CARES won a contest put on by GreenWorks cleaners; through the money won by winning this contest, we were able to start the Carmel Green Teen Micro-Grant Program (see carmelgreenteen.org).
