Have fun doing something positive!
Are you looking for fun things you can do with your friends and family? We can help you plan and play an active role in meaningful projects that make the world a better place for people, animals and the environment, so you'll not only have fun, you'll make a difference too. There's no limit to the type or size of worthy community service projects or activities you can do. And you don't need to be an adult to make a real difference. That's because at Roots & Shoots, the power of youth is what gets the job done. When you join or start a Roots & Shoots group, you’ll make new friends with kids and teens in your community, across the country and around the world, who want to network with others, just like you. If your heart is telling you to help the world and you’re ready to take action, Roots & Shoots can help you organize your thoughts, develop a plan and make it happen!
Work on What You Care About! Are you a writer? An artist? An athlete? You can use your special talents as the basis for designing your Roots & Shoots project. Whether you publish an essay in your school paper about conservation, or organize a baseball marathon for charity, you can develop a project that showcases your skills and most importantly, is lots of fun. Plus, you can do Roots & Shoots projects almost anywhere—in the classroom, in an after-school club, on a field trip, at a museum, at your house—wherever your imagination takes you. Ask an Adult for Their Support
Roots & Shoots is all about youth-led projects but we need and welcome the participation of concerned and committed adults. We have ideas and tools to help you get your teacher, group leader or parents excited about this great program too! So, invite them to visit rootsandshoots.org or contact us to learn more. |
