First Graders Use the Superheroes Video Project as Inspiration

When the Superheroes Video project created by Roots & Shoots and the Pearson foundation, arrived in her inbox, First Grade Teacher from Northern Ohio, Abby Hartman, got an idea. Her idea was to use this video as a teaching tool to orient her students with Roots & Shoots, and how each of them could use their own super powers* to make the world better for people, animals and the environment.

  • "I have the superpower to change the world.  I can help animals."
  • "I have the superpower to pick up litter and help people."
  • "I have the superpower to help sick people and save water."
  • "I have the superpower to take care of people and animals."
  • "I have the superpower to feed animals and help sick people."
  • "I have the superpower to help people with cancer and to change the world."
  • "I have the superpower to help the sick and the animals."
  • "I have the superpower to help my cousins and my friends.  I can help my friends."
  • "I have the superpower to help people and help birds."
  • "I have the superpower to feed animals and help sick people."
  • "I have the superpower to feed the animals and I can help people."
  • "I have the superpower to feed animals and help poor people."
  • "I have the superpower to feed dogs and cats.  I can help with surgery."
