African American National Parks Event

  • Location
    United States
  • Status
    Active
  • Project created by AANPD

The Problem

My hope for this project is that it will continue to grow in the number of participants it draws and that the message of diversity and inclusion starts to reach NGO's and government agencies alike, so that they will feel an obligation to work towards a more diverse employee base as well as a more diverse audience in the open spaces they manage.

Our Plan

This project will encourage African American communities across the country to get out into our National parks and to become a part of the conversation on conservation and land protection.
