Alverno Native Plant Gardens

  • Location
    Sierra Madre, California
  • Status
    Active

The Problem

Our wish is to restore a native habitat for native insects and animals, and create a native corridor through our campus where animals can thrive and have a sanctuary.

Our Plan

Alverno students plant native plants in 3 areas on campus (behind the science classrooms, around pond, and around statue). Also install 2 rain barrels to save water for birdbaths and for establishing native plants.
