The Problem

Our sanctuary has been gradually set up over the last four years. We currently house 7 different Australian native animals: long neck turtle, Mitchell's hopping mice, Eastern bearded dragons, blue tongue lizard, yabbies, silver perch fish, goliath stick insects and spiny-leaf insects. Our grade 5 Zoologists care for them each lunchtime.

Our Plan

We have a high number of refugee students. This program introduces our students to Australian animals and opens up many questions and discussions on how these animals survive, behave, and live in their natural habitats.
