The Problem

The students wished to help the families in the Reach Shelter Program. There are about 90 families with children. Some of the children are babies and some of them go to school. My students wished that they could get some baby care items, school supplies and food for the families. The students wanted to make a difference in their community.

Our Plan

Some of the interested third grade students participated in this project. They wanted to make a difference in the life of some homeless people in the neighborhood. They did a research and found out about the Reach Shelter program in West Palm Beach. The students will find a way to collect money to buy the items these families need. They wanted to buy can food, dry food, back packs, books, school supplies, baby care items and clothes. They wanted make a difference in these people’s lives.
