Crane Survey

The Problem

The elementary chapter of the GIPS Roots & Shoots group wants to learn how to do a Crane Survey so we can help report this information to the Nebraska Nature Conservancy. We want to do a survey of sandhill cranes because they migrate through our area.

Our Plan

Our goal is to do at least a couple crane surveys so that we will be ready for next year. Karen Hamburger, a volunteer at the Nature Conservancy, taught us how to do it over email.
