We wish to raise awareness in our school community about ways we can all help endangered animals, from local recycling, to writing letters. Each Roots and Shoots kid is following their interest and using their talents to add to the fair, and will feel empowered to make a difference in the world.
We made posters about our chosen animals to display at an evening event at school. We made magnets to sell, and will also have artwork and snacks to sell, to raise money for nonprofit animal groups that we vote on. We will decorate the room to get our guests excited about our goals, and will have animal-themed games and a action station where we'll have sample letters and other info to get our community to speak out about endangered animals.
