It will help students, athletes, parents and teachers quickly fill up their water bottles before or during class. During games, athletes can quickly fill up their water bottles and get back to the game instead of having to go all the way the the nearest bathroom. Lastly if parents are volunteering for a school group or activity it can help them quickly fill up their water and get back to the kids. When or if we get the money we will take that money and use it towards the fund to a water bottle filler.
Our students are holding a fundraiser to raise funds to purchase the filling stations. We are offering eco-friendly (i.e. no gas, electricity, or waste) landscaping services to our community. We are working to inform the community about the need to use fewer or no plastic water bottles.

To break the spell of convenience and encourage everyone that we can to make plastic magically disappear from their daily lives. Locally: We will help with efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastics where we live in Bend, Oregon. Globally: We will craft a way to help raise awareness about WHY and HOW we can reduce plastic use. We are starting with upcycled reusable produce bags!
We are building a garden tower out of repurposed goods. We will be learning about permaculture systems to help build a sustainable, thriving garden. Our goal is to keep our garden producing food throughout the year.
This project will engage students on a local environmental issue of their choice and together they will create a performance piece as an awareness campaign for the community.
We will bring hydration stations to our school. We will be raising funds by selling reusable water bottles.
Science Club Students will visit local elementary and middle schools to educate students about aquaponics and the global need for sustainable food production and clean water conservation. We will demonstrate how to build a simple aquaponics systems and provide schools with inexpensive materials and seeds to get them started.
My project will take place over the course of a semester and allow students to get points by using reusables in their homeroom classes. At the end of the year, the class with the most points will get a pizza party to celebrate their good efforts.
We will work towards raising awareness of our peers and community about the importance of eating healthy, growing our own food, preserving water and protecting the environment. The students will gain a new understanding about living in harmony with nature.
