Our project will help dogs and cats find homes, it will also help bring awareness to those who do not know how much the hurricane destroyed. We will raise money from our neighbors and use that to buy supplies on amazon from their wish list. Then we will drive down to Dickinson and deliver the supplies and in the meantime take pictures of the dogs and cats and post them on social media.

Raising trout will definitely foster an awareness and responsibility to preserve and conserve wild life in New York. We will use the donation to help us pay for the $200 dollar fee to watch the process of spawning at the Visitor Center in Newtown Wastewater Treatment Plant and obtaining fertilized trout eggs for our classroom.

We have already started with the chicken waterers, we have are replacing an inefficient, dirty waterer with a water line that provides fresh clean water to our chickens. We started that project a week ago and are half way done. Our next project to tackle is to re-route dirty pond water from runoff to storm drains, to gardens that will love the nitrogen rich water. Our last project in this series is to fill a pond that has no pump system for our waterfowl as an extra water space, and create a pump system that uses human energy, like perhaps a bicycle, to pump this water to a food forest that we will be planting in the near future.

The students started working on their Green Team and R & S efforts to recycle and keep their campus clean when school started in August, 2014. They also earned an Oklahoma Green School flag after completing studies on water and energy and presenting concerns and recommendations to the school board of directors and their families.
