With a uniting of animal rescue groups/organizations and children, it will promote leadership in children who will in turn bring lemonade stands, gofundme's, and school collections to their neighborhoods and communities. Children (with the help of adults) are fully capable of planning with their school principals and organizing friends and classmates to take action!!! Research local rescues or national organizations whose cause you believe in, tell them you'd like to help by organizing a fundraiser...and take action! Then you can start recruiting friends and classmates to help you!! Create posters after school or at home, plan your event, and watch it take off.

Indonesia
I want to make people more aware of the cruelty of the still-growing wildlife trade, especially the bird trade in Indonesia. The bird trade along with the destruction of natural habitats have brought many birds in Indonesia to the brink of extinction.  Java is currently the center of Indonesia's illegal bird trade. From all parts of Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries bird species are smuggled in order to satisfy the desire for exoticism, entertainment, representation and status. Birds are not treated as living sentient beings, but as consumer products and property.
Indonesia
We want to create awareness for birds as living beings and important part of our ecosystems. We want to make graffitis, paintings, comics and performances with the message of saving these unique creatures from extinction and bring their voices back to nature. We would like to offer educational programs and bird watching trips for students and adults. We want to make bird watching public as a different way to deal with birds. We want to do research on real and online markets for illegal bird trade as there are many birds are illgally traded openly. And we want to connect with organisations that protect birds and animals like AnimalFriendsJogja, FLIGHT, BKSDA and BURUNG NUSANTARA.
Indonesia
To raise the public's attention we want to make graffiti, paintings, exhibitions, performances and T-shirts. For students I would like to offer bird watching trips and educational programs. We would like to discuss and realize a sustainable project together with one community and find out how bird watching could be part of it. We will also do research online and real bird markets since their is a huge hype in Java for birds now especially rare and endangered ones are oppenly sold. As birdwatching is an important part, we will also go to some still conserved places to count and determine the bird species. We will connect with other birdwatchers, bird protecting communities like FLIGHT , BKSDA, AnimalFriendsYogya and BIONIC.

In our project lots of people will be able to help the stray animals by supporting our team. Our team was founded from a kid and helps everyday over 40 strays which live in the streets and need forever families! We are doing spay and neuter, feeding and animal health programs. At the same time we are educating kids in the schools on how to be responsible owners and we help them to learn that every animal needs a second chance! How to help: Did you know that on average a stray animal lives approximately only 2-3 years? By doing the following simple things you can save a stray animal: 1) You can adopt or foster a stray animal which needs you!Nothing can replace the warmth of a family! 2)You can offer medical care to an injured stray. 3)You can spay and neuter a stray in your neighborhood in order to avoid the increase of the stray animals. 4)You can put food and water bowls for the hungry and thirsty strays. 5)You should speak up for every cruel action against animals! 6)You can educate your friends to follow these simle steps! A stray animal aims to your compassion!

Pet owners buy so much pet food and it comes in big plastic bags. Often, these bags are bound for the landfill. "Fido Recycles Too" reuses these bags to create durable, reusable grocery bags simultaneously reducing the single use bags and reusing potential waste. In order for "Fido Recycles Too" to really make a difference, people need to know why single use bags are so detrimental to the environment. Therefore, this project will include an interactive educational display to be used in conjunction with the distribution of "Fido Recycles Too" bags. Local farmers markets, environmentally focused grocery stores, and the county fair will be the first venues for "Fido Recycles Too." Pet owners and non pet owners alike can help this project succeed, by reusing pet food bags and helping to educate the public.

The program is called "The Stray" (Adespotos in Greek) and the protagonist is a stray dog. The dog is a fingerpuppet that we use in the kindergarten and it symbolizes every stray animal on the streets of the city. The cartoonist Vaggelis Papavasiliou has also helped us with the program and he designed the picture of “The Stray”. The children in my kindergarten classroom have named themselves “the buddies of The Stray”. The program lasts throughout the year, and the Stray is involved in children's daily lives. Through the children the parents are involved too, which I consider as the best way for spreading the program’s goals. It is a cross-curricular program that is implemented through literary activities, visits to vets, contact with people active in the field of animal welfare (clubs), videos with animal content, as well as creating videos which raise awareness over the responsibilities of adopting of an animal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwFRPN2Bh44&t=92s One of the program actions is "The Bucket of the Stray" This is the reuse of the popular package of one kilo of yoghurt as a collection of family food leftovers and their promotion to stray animals.
