My idea is to take a look at the negative things happening in the news once a week, and then decide to take specific action to counteract the negativity and help those affected. Examples: >If the main headlines revolved around hate crimes, we could all post messages on social media to spread love instead of hate, as well as donating to any relevant human rights charities. >If it was bullying, we could all do a Random Act of Kindness for a stranger, and pledge to be kind and stand up against harassment whenever we see it. >If it was cruelty against domestic animals, we could all volunteer at, donate to, and/or publicly promote local animal rescues. >If it was wild animal endangerment or other forms of environmental destruction, we could do an activity such as picking up litter, as well as donating to environmental charities and taking pledges to reduce our carbon footprint as much as practical and possible. (Even though the latter would be a more long-term thing, we could still check up on progress weekly.) >And finally, if it was something to do with negative or harmful laws, we could call or email our state representative. This is not a complete list, of course, because we never know what will happen, but I hope it is enough to get the idea across. If all goes well, it would be a group or club at my high school. Anyone involved with the school would be welcomed, whether students, teachers, administrators, or even parents, as long as the admins would allow that. My school is very small due to being a private school, but I think we could still make a difference, no matter how small we start out. It has been said that the best way to counteract all the depressing events is to do *something*. Even it just helps one person, or one animal, or one patch of wilderness, it's still better than nothing, and even if it's not the entire planet, it can be a world of meaning to that one individual. Be kind! Sincerely, Elizabeth.
We must be alert at all time to avoid bomb fishing canoes to bomb our precious marine ecosystem...jeopardizing the future of these communities
The member of the club will read and research about famous girls and women who have shown bravery and grit in their lives and in their passions. They will conduct projects and activities based on the information they learn that will help to strengthen their self esteem, their perseverance and their community engagement (sharing projects with the school and town community).
We will have a special Dr. Goodall Day at the Mid-America Science Museum devoted to teaching youth about her life, work, accomplishments, and goals for the future. We will read several books about her and let the kids choose an activity they would like to emulate as Dr. Jane did in the Gombe. Observational skills with handmade binoculars will be a project in which they get to search areas around the museum they think they might find a chimp! After a day of learning and creating birthday cards for Dr. Goodall, the kids will celebrate!
As Jane Goodall states in her Ted Talk WHAT SEPARATES US FROM CHIMPANZEES? - March 2002 a quotation from Mahatma Gandhi "If you look back through human history, you see that every evil regime has been overcome by good." Jane also states, "We can talk about the distant past, plan for the distant future, discuss ideas with each other, so that the ideas can grow from the accumulated wisdom of a group. We can do it by talking to each other; we can do it through video; we can do it through the written word. And we are abusing this great power we have to be wise stewards, and we're destroying the world. In the developed world, in a way, it's worse, because we have so much access to knowledge of the stupidity of what we're doing." It is my life purpose to share with all liked minded individuals, the solution to our worlds demise...it is time for the mass population to wake from its slumber and begin living life as it is meant to be lived...not as slaves to currency. By the way, when is the last time you held a gold coin in your hand? Or a dollar bill for that matter? Today's currency is held electronically, 1's and Zeros on a computer. Before the Government had to 'print' more money, now they can manipulate currency digitally. Gold was the only true currency of our ancestors, however, a Fiat Currency in the early 1900's was developed to assist with the cost of wars (WW1 & WW2), watch the youtube video "The Biggest Scam in the History of Mankind - Who Owns the Federal Reserve? Hidden Secrets of Money, episode 4 has over 6,000,000,000 views. Together we can create a world that does not control humanity through currency. My purpose is to share how I found a higher level of thinking that we all have access to, but can only be achieved through finding the Truth, not through fear controlled government run societies! Please join me in creating Imagine Nation!

I will help to get the word out. I will lead them in Sing for the Climate and upload photos and videos to the FutureFlash! Project on facebook and twitter. And during lunch I will project facebook and twitter posts from the Peoples Climate March in New York City.
