Plant trees and other plants this fall that support wildlife and the environment. I will work to support our state and nation's politicians and others in an effort to protect farm animals, reduce puppy mills, protect wildlife and regulate treatment of animals in general. I will fight attempts to eliminate the destruction of our national lands, parks and monuments. I will give as much as I can to support these causes.

Our foster home takes in abandoned kittens from local shelters and raises them in a home environment until they reach the adoptable age of 8 weeks. We find forever homes for the kittens and begin the cycle again. As funding increases, more litters may be brought to the home at one time. The capacity for care in our 6 room house is 24 at any one time.

Every year we look forward to making these edible necklaces for the chimpanzees at the Chimps, Inc sanctuary in Bend, Oregon. We hope to increase our awareness of the problems with wild animals being used by the entertainment industry, drug companies, and being raised in people's homes. It feels good to bring some joy into these chimps lives. The necklaces are made with cherrios, dried fruit (figs, apples, two kinds of dates, raisins) and natural jute string. Before making the necklaces, we learned about the individual chimps at the sanctuary, as well as their distinctive personalities. They each have a sad story of abuse and neglect prior to arriving at Chimps, Inc. Sancturary.
