We already started with a brainstorm back in December. We are aiming to have it completed in May when it will go on display with an opening ceremony that will allow the students to meet local leaders.
We are currently undergoing a large classroom remodel to provide more local young learners the opportunity to enroll in our program and connect to nature while learning to care for our planet! We want to make a classroom that is environmentally friendly, using resources that are responsibly resourced or recycled. A large part of our remodel is focused on bringing the outdoors indoors so that our explorations can continue once inside the classroom walls. We plan to create a large discovery center area with space for students to observe elements of nature and record their observations within their personal nature journals.
After several brainstorming sessions we narrowed our idea down to recycling mismatched lost socks to create homemade snowmen (decorated with recycled materials) to deliver to the local retirement communities. The snowmen will be two-fold; a winter decoration stuffed with birdseed to be feed to wildbirds come the first day of spring!

We have been watching the master class 1-3 sections at a time over the past several months, when time allows. We discuss each section afterwards. This helps to build a solid foundation for our club!
We will start with cleaning out the pond, removing metals from the ground, and reallocating rubble to sculptural uses. Additionally we will renovate existing buildings into classrooms and art studios. Careful records of plant and animal species will be logged.
