PYD plans to host a community potluck in downtown Detroit. In the past we have fed over 100 homeless of Detroit. The girls get donations and pack dinners to go for those in need. This service learning project for the girls will give them the opportunity to meet homeless in their community, be nonjudgmental, look them in the eye, talk to the homeless, and definitely have them walk away with an empathetic heart.

Based on their answers, we are going to create a powerpoint presentation for our school's website that will give specific guidelines on recycling to our community. We are also going to create posters that we will put on the existing recycling bins around the school to increase awareness.
