This project will have the students of our school watch a film (Mystery of the Disappearing Bees) about bees. It will be held after school from 5 to 7. There will be a bake sale as well, which we will collect money for, along with local bee researchers to teach visitors about bees. Our members will be bringing in treats, and have thoroughly organized the entire event as well. Our project will educate others about how serious bees are to the environment, and how they are vital to our own lives.

Our project will focus on making our area outside of our classroom more beautiful and safe. Many of our students live in apartments and do not have gardens at home. We want to continue to have this beautiful outdoor area where students can learn about growing vegetables and fruits but we need to replace some of the planters and benches because they are very old. This grant will allow us to continue to have this valuable space for our students.

This garden will produce food for the community. These crops will go to the local food pantry, community kitchen, and senior center, as well as other places that provide food for those who need it. To achieve this, I will have to build an outdoor garden that will be functional during the cold months in New England.

Our project will be that we set up a worm farm in our classroom. We will compost the remains of our snacks to increase the good fertile soil and then put that soil in our school garden. The soil will help promote growth of the vegetables that are being grown to help feed those in need in our community.

In this garden, we offer hands on science lessons where we talk about the dynamics of ecosystems and discuss the individual plants in the garden. The students can also come into the garden during lunch and other breaks to maintain the garden, water the plants, or just hang out.

My project will grow food indoors with the use of hydroponics. We will start by getting a growing medium and a bucket large enough to grow several plant at the same time. We will then need to use a water pump to move the water and nutrients around so every plant gets acquitted nutrients thus making it a more successful grow.
