First, I will reach out to San Diego LGBTQ centers with lesson plans that discuss how to deal with issues that many young people deal with, along with a special focus on concepts like gender dysphoria and questioning that LGBTQ youth go through. Then I will spread the word about the workshops through GSA clubs in my school district and hopefully implement these lessons in these clubs as well.

We will start by going to the school district and showing them the model policy we want to add to the current one. This will include compromising with them over certain parts of the policy. We want to explain the importance of these amendments to them (i.e. high youth suicide rates). We hope to encourage teachers and counselors to participate in the workshop included in order to properly handle triggering situations or when a student comes to them with issues they may be dealing with.

I want my project to spread awareness on the issue. I want it to be a shareable, likable video for platforms like Facebook. I will start by interviewing experts on the subject and then filming some of my speaking engagements with girl scout troops. I also want to show them reacting to fair trade and non fair trade chocolate to demonstrate the similarity in taste. Hopefully, this will also encourage people to search for fair trade alternatives to their chocolate.

My Roots & Shoots club will organize a bakesale after school and confirm with our school officials when it will be. We will then advertise, and bring in baked goods for the bake sale. One day after school we will hold the drive and hope for members of our community to take the time to buy a baked good and support these important wild animals.

This project will be enacted through a summit that will invite youth leaders from around the county to learn about non-violence as well as how martial arts can be a tool for ending violence. There will be workshops on healthy relationships and healthy communities, as well as trainings on counteracting sexual assault on college campuses. I will accomplish this through engaging youth in my project and forming partnerships with local community organizations.

January, 2016 - April, 2016 - sort books by age group and deliver to area charities and to target population through fairs scheduled in March and April 2016.

Students will tie Peace messages to the gas balloons to spread awareness and will also write a small note requesting the receiver to contact on the given numbers to inform about the place from where they found the balloon. This will help the students know how far their balloons traveled by the air.
