12 months in MUHANGA District Rwanda, yes will be visible to the public
We will buy materials and carbon monoxide detectors for people. We will raise funds with fundraising events to make money and spread awareness about the issue. We will start by raising funds inside of our school, if we see that it is going well we will try to make the project larger and try to raise even more funds.
My Roots & Shoots club will hold a bakesale to sell various baked goods and other food items to raise money to send to an organization to support communities affected by the recent natural disasters.
Teach students how to propagate native plants from seeds that are edible and have medicinal benefits.

E: Our Project is focus on social and environmental is-sues. We want to achieve the connection between San Pedro community with the surroundings families and environment. We carry out different activities in and out of the school (fund raising activities and direct ask to our peers), but the most relevant was delivering boxes with different food items that the local families lack.
We will meet at the Clinton Children’s Library and have grief specialists on hand as we create art with children in hospice as a means to work through some of the unbearable pain they are experiencing. We’ll also play and interact with them and their parents as they work through some very emotionally tough issues. The kids will have opportunities to express themselves by creating their own projects that deal with nature, animals, or something they feel passionate about.

We will create a community of students, parents, teachers, and all school staff that is engaged in learning about ways to take care of ourselves and each other by creating a garden together and learning about how to better care for our environment.
Our community garden days will take place every 3rd Saturday of each month. The funding provided by this Roots and Shoots grant will help in cleaning up part of the 24th Street Garden. With this funding, we will purchase materials needed to prepare a section of the garden so that students can plant winter crops.
This garden will produce food for the community. These crops will go to the local food pantry, community kitchen, and senior center, as well as other places that provide food for those who need it. To achieve this, I will have to build an outdoor garden that will be functional during the cold months in New England.
