We will first raise awareness of the litter problem in town on 13th August 2018 then do a community litter pick around town hall on 16th august after that we will teach people how to recycle everyday objects themselves as a hobby at a pop up at town hall on the 18th August and finally on the 22nd of August we will conduct a community litter pick from the top to bottom of the high street all who attend will be given a certificate that officially makes them a member of Coleraine litter squad.
I will start by inviting the community to know Jane and her vision "Jane Goodall in Mexico " by including her in our "Green Intervention Day" which is an event to showcase the latest information regarding Global Warming, New Green Construction, Implementation of Sustainability on all Projects from Design Development The importance of eating Green Experience great vegetarian dishes from Mexico Buy Recycle Ornaments and Gifts from Recycle Products Artisans Recycle Methodologies and strategies for better cities
We have several campaign goals: 1. Organize a town-wide cleanup in the spring, following the success of our last cleanup 2. Distribute litter collection barrels around town 3. Implement smaller campaigns, such as a social media challenge to pick up 5 pieces of litter every day
For this project we plan to educate the students of Canoga Park High School on the importance of recycling by furthering our previously established relationship with the school and current principal. In order to execute this process our program will be sending a handful of representatives to the school which will be delegated duties previously given to the Green-E Club, or Green Environment Club, at Canoga Park High School. Our scholars will be responsible for assisting this club with collecting recyclable materials, sorting said materials, and delivering said materials via provided vehicle transportation to the nearest recycling center to raise funding for the school as well as our program to reinvest back in the community for other projects.
The garden is being installed in phases. We began in May and are continuing over the summer. We hope to have everything planted by the fall and complete the signage during the winter and spring. We have 3 species’ sections planted so far, yarrow, narrow-leaf milkweed and hummingbird sage.
The plant markers will complete a small version of an arboretum right on campus, students can learn about the native plants and the wildlife that is attracted by the flora. Students can create markers for the wildlife that is attracted as well as creating an environmental marker showing water usage and climate appropriate plants. This will be done in my environmental science class during the school year, students could give tours and teach classmates about the native garden.
The project will be sequential starting with school community, town, and then world. Learners will first learn what a community is and how they are a part of a larger group of people. Then taking what they know about their school community will apply towards their town. They will participate in a community mapping inventory to determine within the three areas: beautification, landscape, plants, and trees, and wildlife; how they can enhance the town they live in. Finally, after the mapping complete a project based on at least on of the three focuses. If possible connect with another second grade class to blog about their learning.

Last year, the Prakriti Environmental Club at my school, the Abu Dhabi Indian School, conducted the Electronic Waste Collection Drive within the School Campus.
By obtaining umbrellas for our garden, we will create a comfortable classroom space where students can learn about growing their own food, plant life, the environment and giving back to our community.
