For this project, we want to put up signs around the track reminding people to clean up after their dogs and provide bags to help people who might have forgotten to bring their own.

Our project would be able to give Logan the freedom he has never been able to have. The service dog would literally always be tethered to Logan, allowing his family to relax a little more when they are out in public. Logan's service dog wouldn't let him run into a busy street or parking lot, or let him wander off with strangers. Logan is also prone to self-harming when he feels overstimulated or anxious, and the service dog would be trained to be lay on his lap, and calm Logan down when that happens. Another huge thing that the service dog would do for Logan would be that it would act as a best friend of sorts. Logan is completely non-verbal, which makes it difficult for him to communicate with peers, but a service dog would always be there, they would be best friends eventually family as Logan grows up. Our biggest fundraiser is going to be a 5k run/walk, Logan can't run at them, but his dad has always taken him to them and ran while he pushed Logan in a stroller like thing. Most of my team, including myself, are high school students, so we are going to do things at our school such as selling different baked things, doing a 5 minutes to win it, and different things to help us raise more money for Logan.

In this project, we will find parts of the world that are environmentally unstable and we will host fundraisers with a purpose to provide these underdeveloped environments with much needed necessities. We will raise the money through bake sales in our school and and advertise in our schools newspaper. Once again, please contact us if you are interested in helping

Each grade in our school is adopting a group of Community Helpers. Each grade will design and create a game made from recycled materials based on the Community Helper's profession. The students will facilitate these games at our annual Day of Play on October 15. Each group of community helpers (police, sheriff, EMT, etc) will be invited to be honored at a Day of Play that the public is invited to. Each group will be honored and will play the games with the students, thereby building a positive and playful experience together.

The initial project will be to work with a group that supports Foster parents called Embrace Oregon, who works closely with DHS (government agency who finds parents to foster children) . I'd like to set up a "Roots and Shoots"program here in Portland Oregon to get foster kids involved in learning about volunteering during their early developmental age and up. Can anyone can help give me some guidance to help set up the initial structure for the program? The first year I'd like to plan 2-4 projects, which will be determined and driven by the Foster Parents and their children.

We will assist by making signs and posters. We will talk to our families and neighbors and spread the word (maybe even look for a Helping Hand). We have learned mapping skills on Google Maps. Working as a Team has taught us that when we put our minds and efforts to things, we CAN make them better and get the job done!
