The main goal of the project is to beautify a bland, sewer oriented area planted in the center of a neighborhood in Cedar Park. Six grams of mixed wildflower seeds are projected to plant, grow, bloom, pollinate, and repeat as they spread all across the sewer area. According to forestry.gov, the benefits of wildflower plant and growth include: plant diversity attracting insects and other invertebrates, adding a change in palate of color to an urban area, and activating the community around the affected area to maintain and create opportunity for natural studies and art lessons.

We plan to plant a few milkweed plants which attract butterflies. We want to perform this action because we think butterflies are crucial to our environment.

Our project will bring the beauty of nature to students. Our school grounds outside the building is mostly asphalt. These flowers would bring some lovely color to our home away from home. Also, it will help provide oxygen.

The project consists of planting herbs and a lettuce plant in two bins. I will water the plants twice a day--in the morning and in the afternoon. They will be in sunlight and I will document through photos their progress with beginning, middle, and end. The project will beautify and teach my family and I how to take care of a garden.

I will clean up the flower bed of any trash. Next, I will pull out any weeds or dead plants. Then I will add fertilizer to give the plants nutrients. Next, I will dig a whole to put the flower in and I will make sure to water the flowers every day.

My project will take native Texas wildflowers and plant them in a green space used as a sidewalk. I will do it by going to a nursery buying the flowers and planting them around the trees in the green area.

Our project will clean out the existing garden space and allow service learning to take place. Our group will learn about the importance of green space and also pollinators in the community. We will then work together to determine what plants and items we wish to include in our garden to make it inviting to all. We will be cleaning the garden, planting the plants and trees, inserting furniture and maintaining the space throughout the school year.

The Air Pollution Community Map will allow users to learn about which areas accumulate the most traffic and air pollution as a result. It will also provide ideas and ways for them to lessen the amount of car traffic and gas emissions. My students will familiarize themselves with their local neighborhoods. They will map out and also survey the areas of heavy traffic in the community. Then, they will come up with ways to improve the air quality in their community.

Our project will take a piece of land that needs some TLC and turn it into a garden area. We will clean and clear existing vegetation and replace it with California Native plants that will attract and sustain butterflies, bees and birds.
