Volunteers make a huge impact on the care of the animals, the facility and the community. It is a great way way to get your family outside in the fresh air, involved with animals and to have a learning experience. Our entire operation is comprised of volunteer support and we never have enough help.

As Broward County Florida's oldest and largest horse rescue & sanctuary, we know that families who play together stay together. Currently, we have 51 Equine. There are 48 horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 1 hinny, 6 potbellied pigs, 2 farm pigs, 1 sheep, 6 goats and a cat. We welcome all ages to interact with the animals and encourage families to to help together. It is a great way to get back to nature, take in the fresh air and help make the difference in the lives of rescued animals. Regular daily chores include; dump/scrub/fill water buckets and troughs, stall cleaning, bathing, grooming, braiding, feeding, mow grass, paint, maintenance and anything else that might come up. Attire is casual, jeans or shorts and a t-shirt. Please wear closed toe shoes or boots. We need volunteers when it is hot, cold and raining. We look forward to seeing you at the ranch!

My project will be monthly Bay Trail cleanups with a coalition of Amelia Earhart Elementary School, Lincoln Middle School and Alameda High School students, as well as any community members who want to join. Every month, on low-tide days, we will walk to the Bay Trail with buckets, trash-grabbers, gloves, and a wagon. We shall proceed to pick up trash and debris for two hours. We will also weight all the trash we pick up and compile the data to send to the NOAA. My project will build fellowship between people of different backgrounds and help our students be protectors of our waters. Additionally, as there is a bird sanctuary right next to the Bay Trail, my project will protect its inhabitant by keeping the shared waters clean and sanitary for avian habitats.

Through this program we will introduce families to the love of animals. We can help families find something they are all interested in, where there are tasks for everyone and give them a peek into "farm and ranch life". Helping F.R.I.E.N.D.S. will not only teach families how to care for rescue horses and other farm animals, it will also teach families about the time it takes, the financial cost involved with horse ownership, and the responsibility and commitment it takes to own a animal that lives for 30+ years .

Majestic Daughters Empowerment team are fully prepared to bring our empowerment workshops to the women at the Genesis Women's Shelter Outreach. We will have emerging leaders from the local community come and share their stories about how they overcame domestic abuse and what they are doing to inspire other. We will provide light refreshments and also an opportunity to network with survivors and thrivers in the local community as support as the women and girls transition back into society. We will provide a Mary Kay pampering session for these women to feel beautiful and powerful as they prepare for life after the abuse.

The project is a gathering of agencies, collaborators and partners in various communities throughout the city to address and seek solutions that will combat these escalating issues. Schools and colleges are invited to attend, as well as, young people who are survivors. Young people can tell their stories, shed tears, get hugs and support from clinicians, teachers, faith leaders and survivors. We will reach out through social media, radio, television, word of mouth and other sources to the community for participants and participation. The project will consist of information stations, round table, food and entertainment. Upon leaving the event, we want young people to be armed with resources that may save their lives.
