Ellie’s Offering is a charitable shoe collection program inspired by the servant heart and unwavering generosity of my granny, Mary Ellen Rhoden (Ellie). New and gently worn shoes for all ages are collected and distributed to areas with the most pressing needs, such as relief in the wake of natural disasters. We will collect shoes in Stuart, and then distribute them locally to the almost 2000 homeless residents, or transport them to other areas of need.

We aim to craft a unique handwritten card for each staff member, as well as provide a meaningful video or quote to each staff member that signifies the distinctive way in which each has made a difference to a student. We will collect a list of all staff members attending the required In-service Day and ensure each student in the Chapter submits a portion of handwritten cards to contribute to this cause. We will also purchase and cook breakfast items like pancakes, eggs, and bacon!

We'd like to create loving and caring cards, handwritten and handmade by the high school students of our Chapter program, to bring compassion and empathy to those facing food insecurity in their community. This will include a lot of construction paper, markers, glue, and other decorations to make each card stand out as unique and individually sealed with love.

For our project, we will create posters and show that fighting is not a good solution to conflict. We can create school announcements with reasons why fighting is unacceptable. We will invite in a psychologist to talk about reasons teenagers fight.

Our project will help animals, people, and the environment. It helps us learn about the environment because we will be in nature and appreciate it more. We will be adding to our outdoor classroom by adding a chalkboard and new and better benches. We will help the environment by planting wildflowers including milkweed for monarchs, we will minimize the impact on the ecosystem by limiting where we work, we will also be adding to animal habitats.
