Group Description
Join this group and become vegan! We want to end demand for meat and animal products. The world produces enough food already to end world hunger, but too much high-quality grain and resources are going into the raising and slaughtering of livestock. Animals born and raised in the meat industry spend their lives in tiny cages, crowded by other animals. They are stressed and sad their entire lives. Not only is factory farming cruel to animals, but the animal product industry is harming you, too! It produces so many carbon emissions and methane gases. According to ucdavis.edu, “Cattle are the No. 1 agricultural source of greenhouse gases worldwide. Each year, a single cow will belch about 220 pounds of methane.” By ending the demand for animal products, we can stop animal cruelty and world hunger at the same time! #govegan
There is also a vegan project to join. We have a goal of one hundred vegans joining the project in order to make change! However, aspiring vegans and vegetarians are welcome. We hope you might decide to join us in veganism!
