Chloe is from Brewster, Massachusetts, and she’s helping people, other animals, and surrounding ecosystems through clean water. Despite the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chloe was still able to start Roots & Shoots projects in her community, and she even earned a mini-grant for a project to support climate action. She’s also been able to break out of her shell as she’s met more people with similar passions! Her favorite Roots & Shoots project was a hands-on research project she did in collaboration with fellow Brewster Pond members to learn about the native vegetation and the detrimental effects of phosphorus runoff. Her current project builds off of this, working with the Brewster Pond Coalition to share their research and advocate for cleaner waters, which affect all life in the surrounding area. When she isn’t conducting research, Chloe enjoys debate club, playing tennis, working out at the gym, and playing piano.
