Roots & Shoots Group: The Thriving Hive Project

Maddy is a sophomore from Los Angeles, California. This is her third year on the National Youth Leadership Council. Her favorite Roots & Shoots project was installing a beehive in her community because it allowed her to meet community members with similar interests and has taught her a great deal about thee pollinators. She spends most of her free time in nature discovering animals in their natural habitat. Maddy enjoys cooking, photography, and spending time with family.  After school and weekends, you can find her making cat blankets for the Pasadena Humane Society, volunteering with Villa Esperanza, which serves individuals with developmental disabilities.
