What is your wish for this project?

Our wish for Family Day is that we have at least 50 people come out with their family members to learn more about what a difference two volunteer hours can do to help F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Horse & Sanctuary. It is also our hope to get families outside in the fresh air, interacting with horses and other farm animals because "the family that plays together, stays together". It is a great day for people to learn something new about farm animals and what country life is like.

How did it go?

We held our Family Day on April 6, 2019 from 1:00-3:00. We had hoped for 50 new people to come out and we had 88 people show up! Everyone worked with their own family on completing the various tasks we needed done. We also held a Orientation and Safety Class for an hour before we started so everyone became familiar with each other. Everybody had a great time and we think some of them will even came back.
