Coral Reef Conservation Carnival

The Problem

Twenty percent of the world's reefs have already been destroyed, and 25% of the remaining reefs are in immediate danger. Global threats to reefs include a variety of things like dredging, acidification, pollution, tourism, overfishing and more. We want to both bring awareness of this issue to a new audience and raise funds for conservation. We are doing this in a fun way by holding a conservation carnival, where the games will have coral reef conservation themes.

Our Plan

On a weekend in late March, we will hold a conservation carnival! Winners of games will earn tickets towards a raffle of donated items. People can also purchase raffle tickets, and donations will be accepted. All funds raised will be donated to ReefCheck to further restore coral reefs.
