What is your wish for this project?
We hope to bring together families in the community for "unplugged" time to play board games. The board games will teach them basic literacy skills such as letter and number identification, following directions, graceful losing, counting, others. It will also teach social skills such as teamwork and taking turns. How did it go?
We held an all day Family Board Game Day to encourage beginning literacy and social skills. It also brought together families for a day "unplugged". We had 330 people attend with 12 group leaders leading them in the activities.
