The Problem

We would like to transform an area around 12X20 feet near our Early Education classrooms into an interactive wildlife habitat. We want it to be an area where our students will learn stewardship by taking care of the area. Teachers can take their students out to collect data, to make observations and new discoveries about the habitat in the surroundings. It also allows the students a different setting as an outdoor classroom.

Our Plan

Together we will research plants that are habitats and/or food for local species. We will use these plants to create our interactive wildlife habitat. We will have observation stations with various supplies and materials for students to be able to conduct their research and collect data. For example, magnifying glasses, laminated insect and plant guides. Also, a fun log circle for observation and discussions.
