What is your wish for this project?

By hosting this citizen scientist festival, Grand Island Roots & Shoots team, along with the Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center, are encouraging groups throughout Nebraska to come and showcase the work they do to help make this world a better place. It is being held at the peak of the sandhill crane migration in order to also gather together to share in that magnificent event.

How did it go?

We were excited to be involved in creating the first Nebraska Citizen Scientist Festival on March 19, 2016! This idea originated with Jane Goodall, primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and UN Messenger of Peace. She visited Grand Island during the sandhills crane migration and is the founder of the Roots & Shoots program.
