The Problem

Oriole Park School Teaching Farm is a group of urban farmers, parents, educators, and do-gooders, who strive to inspire and engage young minds with first hand experience in growing organic food start to finish. This project started this past spring of 2015 with a generous donation of raised beds, soil and seedlings. Students were involved with the building, planting and care in the garden's inaugural year. It is our wish that this upcoming growing season will be even bigger and better - serving as a true outdoor classroom and hands on teaching tool.

Our Plan

To date the Teaching Farm has focused on start-up and volunteer education. In the new year we plan to work hand in hand with teachers to assess their needs / wants for the garden so that it can be used to it's fullest potential. CREATE STUFF. GROW THINGS. INSPIRE OTHERS.
