What is your wish for this project?
Our Roots & Shoots groups aim was to combat hunger in our community by volunteering at a local food pantry called the Eleanor Klugh Jackson House, and furthermore, write a grant that would enable the organization to collect data that would eventually impact the hungry and lessen their needs.
How did it go?
On the 29th of April, a dedicated team of nine volunteers met in the wee hours of the morning to begin preparations for lunch-hour- serving time. The group was tasked with cooking and packaging well over one hundred separate meals for impoverished individuals within Garland County.
