The Problem

There isn't a green space on our elementary school campus that provides a habitat to native pollinators.

Our Plan

Our school Green Team is starting a raised garden bed project for pollinators.

Here is how the project went:

All the students had a fantastic time filling the raised garden beds with soil and pollinator plants.

Through this project I/we learned:

How to work together and take turns with specific tasks.

What I/we might change:

Incorporating more education and knowledge as to what the plants names are and how some are pollinator plants and others are for deterring invasive insects.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Rolling soil in a wheelbarrow. Also getting hands in the dirt.

Some tips, tricks or fun facts about the project:

We drew a plan of where the different plants were to be planted in the garden bed on the sidewalk with chalk. It really helped to alleviate any questions as to which plant went where.
