The Problem

There is pressure to continue to explore space. Students were interested in learning about space, whether life/agriculture are sustainable in space, and how best to collaborate with other countries to explore space, recognizing the enormous expense and the needs on the planet. Sending a group of middle school and elementary school kids (and chaperones) to Space Camp to learn more about how to responsibly pursue space travel.

Our Plan

We raised money for students to attend a three day shortened space camp over winter break. Roots and Shoots members researched facts about the camp, prepared the campers before they left, and many attended the camp.
