2019 Family Day Oct 4 2019 FROM 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM AT F.R.I.E.ND.S. Horse Rescue & Sanctuary, 19801 Sheridan St, Southwest Ranches, FL 33332, USA As Broward County Florida's oldest and largest horse rescue & sanctuary, we know that families who play together stay together. Currently, we have 51 Equine, 48 horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 1 hinny, 6 potbellied pigs, 2 farm pigs, 1 sheep, 6 goats and a cat. We welcome all ages to interact with animals and encourage families to help together. It is a great way to get back to nature, take in the fresh air and help make the difference in the lives of rescued animals. Regular daily chores include; dump/scrub/fill water buckets and troughs, stall cleaning, bathing, grooming, braiding, feeding, mow grass, paint, maintenance and anything else that might come up. Attire is casual, jeans or shorts and a t-shirt. Please wear closed toe shoes or boots. We need volunteers when it is hot, cold and raining. We look forward to seeing you at the ranch PLEASE SIGN UP AT: https://www.allforgood.org/projects/OkbbWMkz

Our project will bring beauty through created gardens, planting trees, and artwork on various items such as buildings or vacant lots with permission first from the city. We will create 6 teams of youth volunteers to help out with this community engagement project by assessing team leaders to make sure that each job gets done and in a timely manner. Example, clean up crew, raking crew, gardening crew, planting trees crew, and sanitation crew.

We would like to create a theatre type of space along with a garden area. We would like many different types of seating as well. We would love to start this summer or fall of 2019, so we can start learning in the fresh peaceful air as soon as possible!

My project will bring plants back from the brink of extinction. I will do it by recruiting other people to help in the process and I'll find a greenhouse that someone will let us use.

The garden will be planted in the spring and fall. After planting, we will work on signs for the garden.

We will go throughout the community and clean yards for the elderly that are unable to do their upkeep. We have been throughout the community and realized that there are so many elderly here that need their yards swept or grass mowed. I will take a group of people and we will go out and do this for them.

During the winter we will raise funds, plan plant additions to our garden, and plan seating. In the spring we will plant more plants for pollinators. We will purchase and install seating.
