I am going to organize a beach-party pickup at a beach in New Jersey. It is open for everyone and encouraged to bring friends. The beaches appear fairly clean here but trash quickly piles up.

Student Day of Caring provides an avenue for students to engage in brief volunteer service projects. The Twin County United Way conducts annual Days of Caring to promote volunteerism with businesses and schools. Student Days of Caring are intended introduce students to volunteering and encourage students to continue to volunteer throughout the year and into the future. The students will be at a dozen different locations around the Lewis-Clark Valley participating in a variety of hands-on activities including cleaning, yardwork, painting, repackaging food and sorting donations. This takes place on the first day of school for Lewiston High School, and involves all students who are seniors.

We are going to fill barren, compacted, nutrient deficient dirt with nutritious soil and native plants which will in turn attract native insects and birds, making our campus a more beautiful and healthy environment.

My project will raise money for JGI so they can continue to reach out around the world. I will take photos of our beautiful earth (ex landscapes, flora, etc) and create cards or prints to sell.

My 2nd Grade students and I will be planting a dogwood tree in front of our school in the city of Passaic. It will beautify the school grounds and brighten up the neighborhood!
