We want to create awareness for birds as living beings and important part of our ecosystems. We want to make graffitis, paintings, comics and performances with the message of saving these unique creatures from extinction and bring their voices back to nature. We would like to offer educational programs and bird watching trips for students and adults. We want to make bird watching public as a different way to deal with birds. We want to do research on real and online markets for illegal bird trade as there are many birds are illgally traded openly. And we want to connect with organisations that protect birds and animals like AnimalFriendsJogja, FLIGHT, BKSDA and BURUNG NUSANTARA.
Ms. Ingram is also an author of children's books and she will discuss some ideas that have been successful in her community that we could possible use in ours.
As a school community, we strive to give each student an equal opportunity to achieve their full potential within the STEM program regardless of their personal backgrounds or abilities. This is why it is essential for this program to create and maintain a space were students feel safe, included, and have the ability to learn social emotional skills that will aid them throughout the remainder of their lives and educational journeys. We strive to be a leader in educating students about mental, social, and emotional health. For this reason, we will include programs such as Human Animal Bond in Tennessee (H.A.B.I.T), Restorative Practices, and Social Emotional Learning Programs. The space being funded will be utilized as a one-on-one space for students to interact with the Restorative Interventionist or Social Worker to address any emotional or community resource needs. Students will also have regular access to H.A.B.I.T services through H.A.B.I.T Volunteers who generously give their time to bring their animals to the school.
Generate public awareness, fundraising and advocacy campaigns by working and/or volunteering my time, skills and energy in tandem with leading non-profit organizations.

This is an on-going project, but we wanted it to be our Community Service for December and January. The mom of one of my students is a sailor on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Aircraft Carrier. In addition to our K 9 donation, we are writing letters to Ms. Walcott, her sailor friends and sending a large care package for Christmas. These activities will span during December 2017 and January 2018.
