Our project will organize a 5k race/walk in a local park. We will obtain permits from the county and it will be the time leading up to Halloween. Embracing the Halloween spirit, it will be adversitzed as the 'Frightfully Fun 5k'. We will ask the National Art Honors Society to draw a cartoon to use as our logo for the race. Local businesses will be contacted about sponsorships for the race. Money generated from the sponsorships will go toward offsetting the cost of race t-shirts for runners, pathway signage, and other race expenses. 50% of the profits will go toward the Jersey Shore Animal Shelter and the other 50% in our school account.
We will visit the HOPE Animal Shelter in Marana, AZ on Tuesday, 19 December after school. We will stay until the animals are ready to be bedded for the night.

We will research recipes for dog treats and purchase materials using club funds. We will then bake the treats and drop them off with a local animal shelter.
Together Room 3 (Kindergarten) and Room 4 (Grade 4), will help each other to build bird feeders that help birds and other other small animals find food over the cold winter months. Once we build the bird feeders using sustainable products, we will sell them to members of our community and the money raised will go to help a local animal shelter.
