The Problem

We are trying to replace our styrofoam lunch trays with a more sustainable option. We also want to launch a single-use plastic education program so students understand where all the styrofoam is going in the environment.

Our Plan

I have been in contact with our food service director, as well as the head cook at my high school. We're making a lot of progress so far! For the education piece, the plan is to start by giving presentations at the intermediate school and high school. *Update* The project is now complete. Our school has transitioned back to reusable trays, and is planning on using them for the next school year as well. Shoutout to all the amazing staff that helped make that happen! Check out the OIS presentation project to see the education piece of this campaign.
